The Student Academy's next show will be "SpongeBob The Musical." which they will be performing in March 2026 at the Lyric Theatre, Dinnington.
Please note that intake for our Student Academy is March (after the show) until June. DOS now have a thriving Student Academy for children 7- 18 years old, which opened in November 2014. It exists to encourage and develop stage skills including acting/speaking, singing and dancing. The group is under the direction of Louise Selden, Courtney Smith, Richard Concannon the society stage manager, Catherine Enos, Alan Walker and Gail Cobb. They meet on Monday nights from 6.30 to 8.30pm.
The Academy have sung at The Lyric in November 2014, at Athorpe Lodge in December 2014, whilst in May 2015 they performed a Revue at Dinnington Resource Centre. In March 2016 they performed "Move It" alongside other members of the society that were performing a review - "Around the World in 80 DOS" as thier first production!
